Dr. Harriet Kolmer Forbes (Dr.Dave's wife) is board-certified in Internal Medicine and in addition has completed a fellowship in Allergy/Immunology.  Dr. Harriet's focus will be on wellness, preventive medicine, and women's health with a holistic perspective. Dr. Harriet Forbes will be providing routine pelvic exams. In addition to seeing new patients, she and Dr. Dave will also collaborate with patient care, so current patients of the practice are invited to see her. 
       
Dr. Forbes is a native of Salem, Virginia and received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.  She then attended the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her M.D.
degree in 1990.  Dr. Forbes then returned to Winston-Salem, NC to complete her internship and residency in internal medicine at Wake Forest's Bowman Gray/Baptist Hospital.  Following completion of a two year fellowship in Allergy/ Immunology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, Dr. Forbes practiced both Allergy/Immunolgy and Internal Medicine in private
practices before her most recent position as an assistant professor of clinical outpatient internal medicine with the University of Virginia.    
 
Presently, Dr. Harriet's hours are Tuesday's and Wednesday's from 9am -1pm.
